The Writers' Flock

The Story

The Writers' Flock was set up during lockdown in 2020. I felt cut off from the rest of the writing world, and I knew I wasn't the only one experiencing isolation. With encouragement from my mentor I set up the Flock, not knowing whether I'd just be talking to myself over there.

I'd been able to a Curtis Brown Creative writing course to get started with my first thriller but I wanted to reach people who didn't have those resources at their fingertips. I thought I could share what I'd learned since signing my first book deal in 2016. What grew from that germ of an idea has been some of the most wonderful support and sharing of ideas. We have over eighty members now and, best of all, it's an entirely free resource.
