Editorial Assessment
An editorial assessment is the ‘big picture edit’. This manuscript review provides feedback on the structure of your book, as well as characters, voice, plot, and pacing. This will give you a sense of your book’s overall strengths and weaknesses. You will receive an annotated document and detailed report.
Fees £10 per 1,000 words (ex VAT)
2. Copy Editing
Copy editing is the deep clean and polish. This is where I look at prose, dialogue, check for consistency and style. It’s also important at this stage that your book delivers on its premise. I will address any grammatical and spelling errors and pick up on any anomalies that have slipped through the net. Let’s face it – you’ve probably read your words so many times you’ve developed word blindness. I know I do! This is the part that I love best. Your document will be annotated with comments, and suggestions, plus you will get a report detailing the strengths of your manuscript and suggestions for where you could improve the story.
Fees £15 per 1,000 words (ex VAT)

3. Proofreading
Proofreading is the final stage of the editing process: looking at those spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors. This is a reasonably straight forward process and there won’t be a report with this one, nor any comments on any larger editorial issues.
